Might 2016 be a year of triumph and triumph for all Sri Lankans - PM

This New Year first lights with the invigorating guarantee of another period – one that ushers in the profits of vote based system, satisfying the long held desires of the general population, Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe said in his New Year message.

The message further said, "It praises the rising of a country that comprehends and fathoms the genuine significance of opportunity from abuse.
"As a country, we have triumphed over affliction and challenges that undermined the very fabric of our general public.





"Today, talented with another political society that bears every one of us the chance to transcend contrasts, we have before us another and energizing excursion – one that unites open doors for development, supportable improvement and progress while avowing the rights and benefits of the natives, fusing their trusts and yearnings.

"We enter 2016 on a note of trust and plenitude, as a nation bracing its monetary, social and political quality.
