Equity, Equality Only Ensure National Security: Sampanthan Tells Govt

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) boss and Leader of Opposition R. Sampanthan on Friday rejected the contention in certain segments that any quantify in backing of Tamils in the Northern and Eastern regions would adversy affect national security of Sri Lanka.

"National security must be secured if there is equity, correspondence and equivalent treatment surprisingly," he said, starting a civil argument in Parliament on a large group of issues concerning the two regions.

Later, D.M.
