President Hits Out At 'Joint Opposition': "We Strive For Something You Do Not Understand"

President Maithripala Sirisena today hit out at the individuals who condemn his administration's endeavors to present another constitution by demanding that "we make progress toward something you don't get it".

Talking at the national festival to check his first year in Presidency, Sirisena said that specific individuals were making unverified cases at the protected change program. He demanded that the uncommon status to Buddhism won't be changed and national security won't be traded off by the proposed sacred change.
A few MPs of the 'Joint Opposition' have asserted that the new constitution will change the procurements on Buddhism and devolution of force.





Sirisena demanded that the legislature was looking for changes that individuals don't see on the double. They are elusive, yet amazingly important changes, to guarantee enduring compromise and peace, the President said.

He demanded that he was prepared to grasp any test in satisfying the troublesome errands in front of him.
