Previous MP Wasantha Perera captured

Previous Matale District Parliamentarian Lakshman Wasantha Perera was captured after he was surrendered to the Matale Police today over purportedly snatching a political supporter and ambushing him in Matale. Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said an objection had been stopped at the Matale police on July 26 expressing that a man had been kidnapped and later ambushed. Prior, Matale Police captured four suspects in association with the occurrence and they were later remanded
till August 12 subsequent to creating under the watchful eye of the Matale Magistrate Court.



ASP Gunasekara said previous parliamentarian Wasantha Perera is to be delivered in Court today.
