Residential Airport To Be Established In Bandarawela

Pastor of Transport and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva expressed that another nearby airplane terminal will be developed close Bandarawela in the Badulla District.

It had been wanted to build another air terminal at Haputale. Notwithstanding, because of the danger of avalanches, an option site near Bandarawela was decided for the task, de Silva said at an occasion yesterday.
The runway of the new air terminal will be 1300m long and the airplane terminal will be found 3.5 kilometers off the Bandarawela-Koslanda street.
