Police victimize political detainee

A Tamil political detainee from Chavakachcheri charges he has been victimized by police who had requested cash and liquor, radiogagana.com reports.

Subramaniam Nidikesan has grumbled to the Jaffna Human Rights commission and police that men from Chavakachcheri police had torn open the entryway and raged his home around 11.30 pm on December 01.
They had taken away a bike having a place with his wife, Rs. 38,000 in real money and the family's close to home reports, he said.





Nidikesan had been allowed by Poonthottam restoration camp in Vavuniya, where he is being kept under the PTA, to visit his debilitated girl.

He has been undermined that he would be managed when he came to police to assert the cruiser.

He has told Jaffna writers said police had needed him to give five containers of arrack and cash, including that he has recognized one of the policemen as Jeevan Lal of the activity division, whom he had been seen while being kept in jail at Chavakachcheri police.

Nidikesan has been sent to Poonthottam camp in the wake of being summoned to the CID in Colombo for addressing, resulting capture in July 2014, and being briefly kept at the CID and the Boossa detainment camp.

Nidikesan included that no charges are yet to be encircled against him.
