Prisoner Situation In Northern French Town

There is a prisoner circumstance in the northern French town of Roubaix close to the Belgian fringe, outside media reported a brief time prior.

Inhabitants said they heard gunfire around 7pm on Tuesday evening.

The nearby daily paper La Voix du Nord reported programmed gunfire and "a few harmed", The Guardian additionally said. The zone around the level has been fixed off.

"An operation is under route after prisoners were taken. Shots were discharged and the area has been cordoned off," a police source told Reuters. "A bank chief and his family may have been taken as prisoners."
